New Forest Show July 2025

So myself, Alex E, Dan and Chloe all headed off to the New Forest Show for the Individual and Team Jumping competition on Tuesday 29th July.

It was a contrast to the previous years boiling hot temperatures and this time we experienced biblical down pours, just before the team jumping started, saying we got wet would be an understatement!

However we all carried on like you do as we all wanted to do well! There was a set time and we were all determined to not get any time faults, some riders in other teams managed to bag some faults due to the going being very slippery after the rain.

First up was Alex E and Charlie, he jumped a foot perfect clear inside the time. Next up was Chloe and again a cracking clear with Gentle Smurf (Murphy) inside the time as well.

Next up was Dan with his 5 year old horse King Comet ( Roy) who has only been out to a handful of events. Dan managed to get inside the time, to just knock a pole. Roy was such a good boy for a really busy showground with lots to see.

The final horse to go was me with Dolly, it was Dolly’s second show having only been to Hickstead on the Sunday before the show. Dolly knocked one pole as well. But was also in on time so no time faults.

We ended the day with the least faults and no time penalties, to win the class, out of 4 teams!

Alex E also competed individually on her mare Lucy who literally flew around the arena in the fastest time to win individually overall as well.

Chloe also finished 5th individually with Murphy.

Everyone won some lovely goody bags which included a nice Lemieux saddle pad.

Well done everyone there was a great supportive team spirit as always!
