Area 17 Dressage Qualifier and Non Qualifier 14th June, Wood Farm

Wow was it good to be back!
Having not competed for Meon in over a year due to Brian needing surgery, it was nice to be back out with the boys and with the team!
A come back I won’t forget actually.
As always we were first onsite, nothing like being eager to be back, Corinne hadn’t got the marquee up yet when we arrived 😆
So Brian has qualified for National championships on his debut competition post surgery ( something I thought I’d never get to do again ) with good scores all round. Team 1st and a 1st and a 2nd individually.
I was even more impressed that my home produced baby, Hunter, after being backed by me over the winter, at his first competition, finished 2nd with a decent score (despite rustiness on my behalf)
Sometimes you forget just how good it is to be back doing what you love, with a supportive club around you, that is all you want to succeed.
I think my mum’s favourite part was definitely chatting with everyone.
A bright sunny day that was a good day all round for Meoners, full of smiles and laughter.
One I won’t be forgetting for a while.
