Area 17 Dressage to Music Qualifier, Woodingtons,

This is an annual qualifier that Meon have historically done pretty well in! In fact last year Kerry Tyrell qualified in 2 classes and went on to win at the championship! 

Sadly Bucket her dancing pony is off games and Kerry had to sit it out this year.

With 2 of our 4  Meon riders new to DTM (Sharlotte’s first attempt ever!) the results were pretty pleasing indeed.

It was lovely to see Jenny back riding at a qualifier for Meon, Jenny is one Meon’s most senior riders, at 76 years young!

Dressage to Music Qualifier

It was with some trepidation that Huey (Dalmore) and I set off for Woodington’s for the DTM qualifier. We hadn’t competed with the riding club for quite a while and it was a new venue for us both.

I needn’t have worried – although the venue wasn’t quite what I had expected, Chilworth members made us welcome and were very friendly. I soon joined up with fellow Meon members, Lucy and Sharlotte.

None of us did spectacularly well – a bit of tension in Huey’s case and a couple of bumbled simple changes but we all had a good time and danced our socks off – AND it didn’t rain all day!
