Meon wins at BRC National DTM Championship, Bury Farm 8th March

Members report – Meon wins at BRC National DTM Championship!

Day started well, off we go to get as far as fleet Services when Mum took ill so had to  drop her back home! When we arrived Bucket settled in straight away and had a quiet night. In the morning we prepped and I honestly felt like the underdog. Only four lessons and back in work for 5 weeks, no pressure hey? Lol! Medium was nice although we struggled with simples again, that is our weakest movement. Knowing that means we can work on it though and I can iron out any rider error! We still scored over 67% and 9th place. Quick breather then on to Elementary. By this point I thought ‘heck, we have nothing to lose, lets go for it!’ and to my absolute shock we nailed it! We achieved an unbelievable over 74% and went into 1st place. Then it’s the wait…. over 2 and a half hours  as it’s the biggest class of the day. We did it, we won! Another hour went by before the mounted prize giving then time to load and travel home. It was fabulous seeing the   magnificent horses and ponies, I’m still getting my head around winning! We got  home around 10pm, straight to bed for Bucket and I!  😴
